2008 Grand Prize announced!
The Alaska Symphony of Seafood Gala Soirée & Awards ceremony was held on January 31, in Anchorage at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. One week earlier, at a private judging in Seattle, experts in the field assessed this year's entrants based on price, packaging and taste, among other things. For the Grand Prize Winner they chose Morey's Wild Alaskan Party Pack by Morey's Seafood International.

You can view the privately judged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category—Retail, Food Service, and Smoked Products—on the Winners' page.

At the Gala, and at the Seattle Open House on January 23rd, the crowds in attendance got to choose the Anchorage People's Choice and the Seattle People's Choice. This year they were one and the same: Ray's Gourmet Wild Alaskan Yukon Salmon Chowder by Boreal Fisheries, Inc.

What's it all about?
The Alaska Symphony of Seafood is a New Products Contest where the entrants are food manufacturers and the main ingredient is Alaskan seafood. You can read more about the events here. There is more information about the purpose of the Symphony on our sponsors page.
